Short-term employment opportunity for a Computer Science PhD candidate to engage with innovative start-up Instatruck

Instatruck wishes to engage a PhD student on a short-term contract in order to assist with applying Machine Learning, Data Regression and Chatbot techniques to create methods to convert natural language into data queries and API queries.

The key components to this project are:

  • 1.Creating a chat-interface in order to gather transaction information
  • 2.Processing of conversation input to create queries on a data set
  • 3.Preparing a dataset for use by the chatbot
  • 4.Identifying ambiguous data from the chat input and prompting for clarification

Desirable skills:

  • Chatbot technology
  • Natural Language interpretation
  • Fuzzy Matching & searching in datasets
  • Techniques for clarifying ambiguous input
  • Data preparation and cleansing
  • Knowledge of AWS AI-related and data analysis tools for the above
  • Knowledge of python AI-related and data analysis tools for the above
