Volunteer Opportunity for Researchers

Future Directions International, in partnership with Edith Cowan University, is pleased to offer short-term volunteer placements. We invite high-achieving final-year and postgraduate students to expand and apply the research and analytical skills acquired during their studies.

Applicants should submit an application to the relevant FDI Research Manager, as noted below. Applications must contain the student’s curriculum vitae, a covering letter (stating their preferred research programme) and a recent sample of their written work.

Entry to the Volunteer Programme is highly competitive and applicants will need to demonstrate:

  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • High academic achievement
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Time management skills
  • Keen interest in current affairs and international issues
