ECU Freeway Bike Hike Volunteers Needed!

The ECU Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma on Sunday 3rd April is a huge community cycling event where people ride on the empty Perth freeways and raise money for asthma. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles and locations at the start and end points along the Kwinana and Mitchell freeways from ECU Joondalup to Kwinana station, ending in Elizabeth Quay.

LOCATIONS: Elizabeth Quay (start point and finish precinct), ECU Joondalup campus (start point), Stirling station (start point), Bull Creek station (start point), Kwinana station (start point)

POSITIONS: check in marshall, finish precinct marshal, water station attendant, train station marshal, first aid station attendant, information booth attendant, lead out car driver

START TIMES:

4am for Elizabeth Quay start point

5:30am for Kwinana station start point

6:20am for ECU Joondalup campus start point

7am for Bull Creek station start point

7:45am for Stirling station start point

8am for Trike Hike start point near Elizabeth Quay

6:30am-11am finish precinct at Elizabeth Quay

The majority of roles range between 3-6 hours and all involve an early morning start. You're never too old or young to support this event and absolutely no experience is necessary, just a great attitude and plenty of enthusiasm. Groups are welcome too!

All volunteers will be provided with refreshments, a volunteer tshirt, free public transport, sunscreen, extensive written event and volunteer information as well as the support of Volunteer Team Leaders on event day.
