Neighbour to Neighbour are providing assistance to members of the community facing unprecedented challenges and increasing isolation due to COVID-19.

The Neighbour to Neighbour project aims to support communities at high risk of being impacted by the threats of COVID-19, including seniors, people with a disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and Indigenous people.

Through the Neighbour to Neighbour initiative, we can all look out for each other and show a little kindness.

Volunteering and Covid-19

Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation ECU is postponing all physical volunteering events and programs for the foreseeable future. This is to assist with carrying out social distancing recommendations in order to safeguard the health and wellbeing of our staff and students.

The health and wellbeing of both the ECU community and external parties are at the forefront of our thoughts in these times.

It is however crucial that we as a community stay connected with those in need and actively participate in safe volunteering opportunities.

As a community we recognise the effect isolation is going to have on our society in the coming months. We are endeavouring to bring as many virtual volunteering opportunities to you so that we can continue to contribute and engage in volunteer activities, under the parameters defined by the current situation.

IMPORTANT NOTE:If you are already engaged in volunteering activities outside of the ECU volunteer program please ensure you are aware of your rights and responsibilities as a volunteer by visiting Volunteering Australia website.
